Datenschutzerklärung
CampingLog speichert deine Trips, Reisestationen, Fotos und Notizen auf deinem Gerät und synchronisiert sie über iCloud (Apple CloudKit) zwischen deinen Geräten. Für die KI-gestützte Ausflugsplanung werden deine Eingaben über eine serverseitige Funktion an die Gemini API von Google übermittelt. Es gibt keinen Kontaktzugriff und keine Push-Benachrichtigungen.

Welche Daten werden gespeichert?
CampingLog speichert ausschließlich Daten, die du selbst eingibst oder freigibst:
- Trips und Reisestationen (Titel, Zeitraum, Beschreibung)
- Standorte, die du manuell einträgst (keine automatische GPS-Erfassung)
- Fotos, die du einer Reise zuordnest
- Notizen zu Trips und Reisestationen
- Ergebnisse der KI-gestützten Ausflugsplanung, die du speicherst
- App-Einstellungen (z. B. Sprachauswahl)
Alle diese Daten werden lokal auf deinem Gerät gespeichert und über Apple CloudKit mit deinem persönlichen iCloud-Account synchronisiert, damit sie auf all deinen Geräten verfügbar sind. Ein separates Backup außerhalb von iCloud bietet CampingLog aktuell nicht an.
Cloud-Sync über Apple CloudKit
Für den Geräte-Sync nutzt CampingLog den Dienst CloudKit von Apple Inc., One Apple Park Way, Cupertino, CA 95014, USA (für Nutzer in der EU: Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Cork, Irland). Deine App-Daten (Trips, Reisestationen, Standorte, Fotos, Notizen) werden dazu verschlüsselt in deinem privaten iCloud-Speicher abgelegt. CampingLog selbst hat keinen eigenen Server-Zugriff auf diese Daten, sie sind ausschließlich über deinen Apple-Account zugänglich. Es gelten die Datenschutzbestimmungen von Apple. Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Erfüllung des Nutzungsvertrags).
Fotozugriff
CampingLog kann optional auf deine Fotomediathek oder Kamera zugreifen, um Fotos mit einer Reise zu verknüpfen. Der Zugriff erfolgt nur nach ausdrücklicher Genehmigung durch dich. Fotos werden wie alle anderen App-Daten lokal gespeichert und über CloudKit synchronisiert.
Kontaktzugriff
CampingLog greift nicht auf deine Kontakte zu.
Benachrichtigungen
CampingLog versendet keine Push-Benachrichtigungen.
Reisen teilen
Du kannst einzelne Reisen bewusst mit anderen Personen teilen. Das Teilen erfolgt über die CloudKit-Sharing-Funktion von Apple: Erst wenn du eine Reise aktiv freigibst (z. B. innerhalb eines gemeinsamen Haushalts oder per Freigabelink), erhalten andere Nutzer Zugriff auf die geteilten Inhalte (Stationen, Notizen, Fotos). Privat erstellte Reisen bleiben standardmäßig privat und werden nicht automatisch geteilt, du entscheidest jederzeit selbst, ob und mit wem eine Reise geteilt wird.
Ausflugsplanung mit Gemini (Google)
Die KI-gestützte Ausflugsplanung leitet deine Eingaben (z. B. Ziel, Zeitraum, Interessen) über eine serverseitige Cloud-Funktion an die Gemini API von Google weiter, um Vorschläge zu generieren. Es werden dabei nur die von dir eingegebenen Textangaben zur Anfrage übertragen, keine Fotos und keine direkt identifizierenden Daten wie Name oder E-Mail-Adresse.
Anbieter: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland (für Nutzer in der EU), bzw. Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Die Verarbeitung der Anfrage kann auf Servern außerhalb der EU/des EWR, insbesondere in den USA, stattfinden. Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Erfüllung des Nutzungsvertrags); für die Übermittlung in die USA stützen wir uns auf die Standardvertragsklauseln der EU-Kommission gemäß Art. 46 DSGVO. Die Cloud-Funktion, die deine Anfrage entgegennimmt und an Gemini weiterleitet, läuft selbst auf Google Cloud Platform (ebenfalls Google Ireland Limited bzw. Google LLC) als technischer Infrastruktur-Dienstleister.
Ohne aktives Abonnement stehen dir 3 Ausflugsplanungs-Anfragen pro Monat kostenlos zur Verfügung; mit einem Abonnement entfällt dieses Limit (siehe Nutzungsbedingungen).
In-App-Käufe & Abonnement
CampingLog bietet ein kostenpflichtiges Abonnement für die uneingeschränkte Nutzung der KI-Ausflugsplanung. Der Kauf- und Zahlungsvorgang läuft ausschließlich über den Apple App Store. CampingLog erhält dabei keine Zahlungsinformationen (z. B. Kreditkartendaten, Apple-Account, Rechnungsadresse). Es gelten die Datenschutzbestimmungen von Apple.
Zur Verwaltung des Abo-Status (z. B. „aktiv“, „abgelaufen“) setzt CampingLog den Dienst RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., 75 Broadway, San Francisco, CA 94111, USA) ein. RevenueCat verarbeitet hierfür eine pseudonyme App-User-ID (kein Name, keine E-Mail) sowie den vom App Store ausgestellten Kaufbeleg. Eine Übertragung in die USA findet statt. Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Erfüllung des Nutzungsvertrags). Weitere Informationen: RevenueCat-Datenschutzerklärung.

Abgesehen von diesen drei Dienstleistern werden keine personenbezogenen Daten an Dritte weitergegeben, verkauft oder für Werbezwecke verwendet. CampingLog enthält keinerlei Analyse-Frameworks, Tracking-Tools oder Werbebibliotheken.
Datenlöschung
Beim Deinstallieren der App wird die lokale Kopie deiner Daten entfernt; die in iCloud gespeicherten Daten bleiben davon unberührt und stehen bei einer Neuinstallation wieder zur Verfügung, solange du mit demselben Apple-Account angemeldet bist. Innerhalb der App kannst du einzelne Trips, Reisestationen und Fotos jederzeit löschen; eine vollständige Löschung aus iCloud ist auch über die iCloud-Einstellungen deines Geräts möglich.
Deine Rechte
Du hast das Recht auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung und Einschränkung der Verarbeitung deiner Daten sowie auf Datenübertragbarkeit. Da deine App-Daten in deinem eigenen iCloud-Account liegen, kannst du die meisten dieser Rechte direkt in der App oder in deinen iCloud-Einstellungen ausüben. Privacy Policy
CampingLog stores your trips, stops, photos and notes on your device and syncs them across your devices via iCloud (Apple CloudKit). For AI-powered excursion planning, your input is sent to Google's Gemini API through a server-side function. There is no contacts access and no push notifications.

Which data is stored?
CampingLog only stores data that you enter or grant access to yourself:
- Trips and stops (title, time period, description)
- Locations you enter manually (no automatic GPS capture)
- Photos you attach to a trip
- Notes for trips and stops
- Results of the AI-powered excursion planner that you save
- App settings (e.g. language)
All of this data is stored locally on your device and synced via Apple CloudKit with your personal iCloud account so it's available on all your devices. CampingLog does not currently offer a separate backup outside of iCloud.
Cloud sync via Apple CloudKit
CampingLog uses CloudKit, a service by Apple Inc., One Apple Park Way, Cupertino, CA 95014, USA (for users in the EU: Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Cork, Ireland), to sync your data across devices. Your app data (trips, stops, locations, photos, notes) is stored encrypted in your private iCloud storage. CampingLog itself has no server-side access to this data, it is only accessible through your own Apple account. The Apple privacy policy applies. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract).
Photo access
CampingLog can optionally access your photo library or camera to attach photos to a trip. Access only happens after your explicit permission. Photos are stored locally like all other app data and synced via CloudKit.
Contacts access
CampingLog does not access your contacts.
Notifications
CampingLog does not send push notifications.
Sharing trips
You can deliberately share individual trips with other people. Sharing uses Apple's CloudKit sharing feature: only once you actively share a trip (e.g. within a shared household or via a share link) do other users get access to the shared content (stops, notes, photos). Privately created trips stay private by default and are never shared automatically, you always decide whether and with whom a trip is shared.
Excursion planning with Gemini (Google)
The AI-powered excursion planner sends your input (e.g. destination, time period, interests) via a server-side cloud function to Google's Gemini API to generate suggestions. Only the text you enter for the request is transmitted, no photos and no directly identifying data such as your name or email address.
Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (for users in the EU), or Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Processing of the request may take place on servers outside the EU/EEA, in particular in the USA. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract); for the transfer to the USA we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR. The cloud function that receives your request and forwards it to Gemini itself runs on Google Cloud Platform (also Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC) as a technical infrastructure provider.
Without an active subscription you get 3 free excursion-planning requests per month; with a subscription this limit no longer applies (see Terms of Use).
In-app purchases & subscription
CampingLog offers a paid subscription for unrestricted use of the AI excursion planner. Purchase and payment are handled exclusively by the Apple App Store. CampingLog does not receive any payment information (credit card details, Apple account, billing address). The Apple privacy policy applies.
To manage subscription status (e.g. "active", "expired") CampingLog uses the service RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., 75 Broadway, San Francisco, CA 94111, USA). RevenueCat processes a pseudonymous app user ID (no name, no email address) and the purchase receipt issued by the App Store. Data is transferred to the United States. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract). More information: RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Processors at a glance

Apart from these three service providers, no personal data is shared with, sold to, or used for advertising by third parties. CampingLog contains no analytics frameworks, tracking tools or advertising libraries.
Data deletion
Uninstalling the app removes the local copy of your data; data stored in iCloud is unaffected and becomes available again on reinstall as long as you're signed in with the same Apple account. Inside the app you can delete individual trips, stops and photos at any time; complete deletion from iCloud is also possible via your device's iCloud settings.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, as well as data portability. Since your app data lives in your own iCloud account, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the app or in your iCloud settings. For questions, contact info@wrapped.studio.

Wo werden meine Daten gespeichert?
Deine Trips, Reisestationen, Fotos und Notizen werden lokal auf deinem Gerät gespeichert und automatisch über iCloud (Apple CloudKit) mit deinen anderen Geräten synchronisiert. Es gibt kein separates Nutzerkonto bei CampingLog selbst.
Gibt es ein separates Backup?
Aktuell nicht. Deine Daten liegen automatisch in deiner privaten iCloud und werden darüber zwischen Geräten synchronisiert. Ein manueller Export als Datei ist derzeit nicht möglich; das ist für eine spätere Version geplant.
Was passiert, wenn ich die App lösche?
Beim Deinstallieren wird die lokale Kopie deiner Daten entfernt. Deine Daten in iCloud bleiben davon unberührt. Installierst du CampingLog erneut und meldest dich mit demselben Apple-Account an, stehen sie wieder zur Verfügung.
Wie kann ich eine Reise mit jemandem teilen?
Über die Teilen-Funktion einer Reise kannst du diese gezielt für andere freigeben, z. B. für deinen Haushalt. Die Freigabe läuft über Apples CloudKit-Sharing. Reisen bleiben so lange privat, bis du sie aktiv teilst. Es gibt keine automatische Freigabe.
Wie funktioniert die KI-Ausflugsplanung?
Gib Ziel, Zeitraum und Interessen ein, und CampingLog schlägt dir passende Ausflüge in der Umgebung deines Trips vor. Die Vorschläge werden über eine Google-Cloud-Funktion mit der Gemini API erstellt. Ohne Abo stehen dir 3 Anfragen pro Monat kostenlos zur Verfügung, mit Abo unbegrenzt viele.
Wird CampingLog auf weiteren Sprachen verfügbar sein?
Aktuell unterstützt CampingLog Deutsch und Englisch. Übersetzungsvorschläge für weitere Sprachen sind willkommen. Schreib mir gerne.

Frequently asked questions
Where is my data stored?
Your trips, stops, photos and notes are stored locally on your device and automatically synced with your other devices via iCloud (Apple CloudKit). There is no separate CampingLog user account.
Is there a separate backup?
Not currently. Your data lives automatically in your private iCloud and is synced between devices through it. A manual file export isn't available yet; it's planned for a future version.
What happens if I delete the app?
Uninstalling removes the local copy of your data. Your data in iCloud is unaffected. Reinstall CampingLog and sign in with the same Apple account, and it becomes available again.
How can I share a trip with someone?
Use a trip's share option to deliberately give others access, e.g. your household. Sharing uses Apple's CloudKit sharing feature. Trips stay private until you actively share them. There is no automatic sharing.
How does the AI excursion planner work?
Enter your destination, time period and interests, and CampingLog suggests excursions near your trip. Suggestions are generated via a Google Cloud function using the Gemini API. Without a subscription you get 3 free requests per month; with a subscription there's no limit.
Will CampingLog support more languages?
CampingLog currently supports German and English. Translation suggestions for other languages are very welcome. Please get in touch.
Does the app cost anything?
CampingLog is free to use. Trips, stops, locations, photos, notes and sharing trips are all completely free. Only the AI excursion planner requires a subscription once you've used the 3 free monthly requests:

Zusätzlich bietet CampingLog eine KI-gestützte Ausflugsplanung, die Vorschläge für Ausflüge basierend auf deinen Angaben (Ziel, Zeitraum, Interessen) generiert. Diese Funktion steht ohne Abonnement mit bis zu 3 Anfragen pro Kalendermonat kostenlos zur Verfügung. Alle übrigen Funktionen der App sind uneingeschränkt und dauerhaft kostenlos nutzbar.
Abonnement & Preise
Wer die KI-gestützte Ausflugsplanung über das monatliche Freikontingent hinaus nutzen möchte, benötigt folgendes Abonnement:
- Monatlich — 0,99 € pro Monat
Das Abonnement verlängert sich automatisch zum jeweils gültigen Preis, sofern es nicht mindestens 24 Stunden vor Ende des laufenden Abrechnungszeitraums gekündigt wird. Die Abrechnung erfolgt über den Apple App Store. Käufe und Abonnements können in den Einstellungen deines Apple-ID-Kontos verwaltet und gekündigt werden.
Widerrufsrecht
Für digitale Inhalte und Abonnements, die über den Apple App Store erworben werden, gelten die Rückgabe- und Erstattungsrichtlinien von Apple. Anfragen zur Rückerstattung sind direkt über Apple einzureichen.
Haftungsausschluss
Die App wird im Ist-Zustand bereitgestellt. Eine Garantie für Verfügbarkeit, Fehlerfreiheit oder Eignung für einen bestimmten Zweck wird nicht übernommen. Dies gilt insbesondere auch für die über die Gemini API generierten Ausflugsvorschläge, die ohne Gewähr für Richtigkeit, Aktualität oder Vollständigkeit bereitgestellt werden. Eine Haftung für Datenverlust ist ausgeschlossen, soweit sie nicht auf Vorsatz oder grober Fahrlässigkeit beruht; deine Daten liegen in deinem eigenen iCloud-Account und werden dort von Apple gemäß dessen Bedingungen verwaltet.
Änderungen
Diese Nutzungsbedingungen können bei Bedarf aktualisiert werden. Bei wesentlichen Änderungen wird in der App darauf hingewiesen. Die fortgesetzte Nutzung der App nach einer Änderung gilt als Zustimmung zu den aktualisierten Bedingungen.

Es gilt deutsches Recht unter Ausschluss des UN-Kaufrechts.

Scope of service
CampingLog lets you record and manage camping trips, stops, manually entered locations, photos and notes, and share individual trips with other people. All app data is stored locally on your device and synced with your iCloud account via Apple CloudKit.
CampingLog also offers an AI-powered excursion planner that generates suggestions based on your input (destination, time period, interests). This feature is available free of charge without a subscription for up to 3 requests per calendar month. All other features of the app are free to use without restriction.
Subscription & pricing
To use the AI-powered excursion planner beyond the monthly free allowance, the following subscription is required:
- Monthly — €0.99 per month
The subscription renews automatically at the current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Billing is handled by the Apple App Store. Purchases and subscriptions can be managed and cancelled in your Apple ID account settings.
Right of withdrawal
For digital content and subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store, Apple's return and refund policies apply. Refund requests must be submitted directly through Apple.
Disclaimer
The app is provided as-is. No guarantee is given for availability, freedom from errors, or fitness for a particular purpose. This applies in particular to excursion suggestions generated via the Gemini API, which are provided without any guarantee of accuracy, currency or completeness. Liability for data loss is excluded unless caused by intent or gross negligence; your data lives in your own iCloud account and is managed there by Apple under its own terms.
Changes
These terms may be updated when necessary. For material changes, notice will be given in the app. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
